The Harney View Log Cabin offers a spectacular view of the highest point in the Black Hills, Harney Peak at 7,242 feet in elevation.  The cabin is three miles west of Hill City on the old Burlington Tract mining claim.  Guests can step back in time while exploring the original miners shack still located on the property.  The original owner claimed to have found gold on the property and spent the remainder of his life seeking his fortune.  Harney View Cabin is conveniently located to the major attractions in the Black Hills of South Dakota including, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Deadwood, and Crazy Horse Memorial. Newton Lake is just across the road from the property providing an excellent opportunity for kids of all ages to fish, and the picturesque Mickelson Trail is adjacent to the cabin. Harney View Cabins bedrooms have 2 queen and 1 full bed with a pullout sofa in the living room.  The cabin is truly a home away from home with spectacular amenities including laundry facilities, gas fireplace, paved road, covered patio, picnic table and air conditioning.
